When i was a newbie i use to read alot of books about internet marketing. I read seo for dummies and in the book was a quick section about content. This was pretty powerful stuff i have to say for a section that was about 5 pages.

In it list all the way you can get free content.

Government Content: You pay taxes to the government, any peice they use you are allowed to use becauses its in the public domain.

Ask For Content: You can ask your readers for content and set up an email where they can send articles to you. This can incentivise this by saying you will provide a link to there website.

Ezine Articles: You can use any content as long as you leave the souce. You dont have to hyperlink the source though.

Youtube Videos: Video Sharing website like youtube and other allow you to ememed the code and put it on your website to share. This is an easy way to get the spiders on you page and also help you out alot by giving you quick contnet to share.

PRL Articles: Many people share articles to get backlinks to there website, or promote cpa surveys or whatever. This great way to get some free content check this out.

So tell me what you think and go out and get some free content.

Still, free content always has a catch or something bad, includes a backlink or something else. I would rather pay for content then to have it for free!

Not really there is not catch on most of these. ezine is the only place where you have to include the source or it is copywrite.

this is all well and good but you are still using the same content as some one els as soon as google sees you have the same content as a another website bibi your going down the ranks.

the only content you ever want is NEW or a rewrite never just copy and paste

The downside of PLR articles are they are mostly used by so many people and reduce the uniqueness, but it is still a good choice if you are too lazy to write. The truth is free content doesn't offer uniqueness like Google love, if you want a quality content, use your head and start writing by yourself.
