Thread: GIMP a good alternative for Photoshop?

Definitely Photoshop is the leading graphics editor. But the license is quite expensive. I heard the open source GIMP. Is it worth all the effort trying to learn GIMP?

Yes. It's worth it. I have been using GIMP for at least 3 years now and I have made several banners from it.
The latest is an advertisement banner of an online shop on a forum that I am active to.
The admin of that forum liked my work and still looking forward for more.

But I still need to learn more using it.

Anyways, if you want, I could share the images to you.

I'm not so sure it offers the same features. My answer would be no, it's probably not a good alternative. But I've never used it, so I am no one to talk.
