Default The basics of link building

    Hi guys,

As we all know the one of the key's to success of websites/blog's is traffic. One of the most important things is getting quality back links. As i have a few i thought i'd share them below.

    Link Baiting:

I think this method is the most important. In basic terms if your website has good quality information on it that people are going to find valuable and want to share with other people then you will notice natural links being set up to your website. So make sure the content is good!

    Directory Submissions:

There are specialist SEO and link builders out there that charge a fee for Directory Submissions. There are 4 kinds of Directory submissions. Directory submission is yet another way to build back links.

    Link Exchange:

This is the old fashioned way of building back links but it works well. You simply contact other website owner's with similar websites and request/ask for their permission to link to their website and in return they if they can link to your website. Don’t wait for people to contact you get out there and contact them. This method works well when you can get people to link back to you. These are known as reciprocal links.

    High PR Subscriptions:

You can buy or rent high quality PR 5-9 text links at assorted places for various prices which will gain you quality back links. I'll leave the searching of website here to you!

    Linking from your own websites:

This is an excellent way if you have many relevant pages in the same niche.

    Pay Bloggers:

You can make posts on webmaster type forums stating that you will pay a blogger to write a blog(s) about your website and to include a direct link to it. People will always be willing to write reviews for websites.

    Article Submissions:

Write articles with a link to your website. Alternatively you can pay someone to write article(s) for you and get them submitted to article submission websites such as Ezine.

    Write Testimonials and Reviews:

Write and send a testimonial with your website link to your web host, web designer, web developer and SEO. If you are lucky they will publish your testimonial on their website(s) which produces a link back to you.

    Guest Blogging:

There are many blogs out there that allow you to write articles without signing up, this is known as guest blogging. So find some blogs that are related to your niche and make a few guest posts.

That’s it for now folks, I hop you enjoyed reading, now walk away and start building your back links.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the post.

About directory submission, each day and more I am starting to believe that they don't count that much in SEO. But the others mentioned, they're great.

First be sure you pages are optimized if you are using a wp blog it's easy you only need the SEO plug in and be sure of using an SEO permanent link and use your post title as a long tail keyword.

if you are using HTML pages here is an SEO check list could be helpful

Now the next step is link building, so start natuarally

    1. Start with article marketing, find some high ranking directories and start submitting articles you can use 1 article and spin it then use it in different directories you can easily manually post to 10 and more directories.
If you have some money to invest in this strategy so great.

    2. Bloging by using the free blogs from blogger and WP. and for sure blog commenting but here you need to make your own research to find some good high ranking and related blogs. Do not use any lists from this forum or any other forum make your own list by researching.

one way to find some good blogs is by using backlink checker tool like backlinkwhatch and see the backlinks for some related blog (a competitor)

    3. use video marketing, simply use pictures to make some videos give the videos a good related title and use your link in the description.

    4. Bookmarking, use as many bookmarking services as you can to bookmark all your pages and blog posts

    5. forums, not by building profiles, but by replying to other threads and writing your own threads.

    6. Create a PDF file and submit it as an ebook to some directories.

    7. Submit your RSS feeds, and use them on other blogs you have

    8. Exchange links, it's still a great way to get high PR backlinks
9 I hate spending much time on pages like squidoo and hubpages but there are some webmasters who still use them to get backlinks, I don't I think it's wast of time and you can not guarantee that the page will be published

    10. Some press release sites could give you good backlinks.

These are the basics and after doing so you can get some real good ranking, after that it's up to you you can start investing money on link building to get more results easier and faster.
