Question Value of a .info domain

Well, .info domains are easy to get and pretty cheap, but is i worth buying them? I have seen in lot of places where people complain that Google hates .info domains... Is it true?

Not too sure about google hating some extensions, any 1 keyword domain is good to have in my experience.

i dont think googel hates .info but i have also seen a lot of people moan about google not likeing it. why would you want to use a .info domain anyway unless you are going to only right up on one nich and give info about it. plus most .info domains are bought when .com ect is taken just so they can get the keyword in the domain

Some domains like the famous prchecker.info have been highly successful, but still I would rather go for .com/.net/.org for my domain name rather than .info. The cost of buying is less but renewal cost is almost same. This is why Google thinks .info as spammy domain according to me. Still not too sure though..!!

Alot of people have mentioned the lack of success when using .info domains. To compete with a .com; .net; .org; you need a significantly larger amount of backlinks, SEO, etc., but overall they can still rank just as good. It just depends on how much money you have, and how much time you're willing to put into it I guess.

Maybe this is the reason why at godaddy.com an .info domain is as cheap as 0.89$ ! Nobody buy them, though I think that with Google hating the .info domain is only a superstition. Google hates bad content, not a certain domain. Just my 2 cents....

When i first started i brought info domains but now i have seen the light and go for .coms all the time if the one i wanted has gone i just play around and find one i like.
Also you will make more money selling a site with a .com than a .info.
