Article marketing is indeed a great way to drive traffic to a blog. Blog commenting also is good provided it is executed properly on related blogs.

Google trends is a great way to get traffic. Talk about what people want. Just go on trends and talk about the top topic and you should be getting some traffic. Youtubers do the same thing just look at Sxephil he got paid doing this stuff and became very popular.

I would agree most with the first tip. Article marketing is the single most important thing and it's the best source for blog marketing. Though, it might take some effort to do it right!

Also the most important thing is writing unique content, visitors and google would love it. It also differentiate your blog to other blogs out there. And don't forget to always building links regularly.

Yes 100% true, besides above mention four tactics you can also do forum posting, contributing to forum with leaving your signature back will also help to get good traffic. But you should remember, not to spam forum with lots of useless posts or your posts will get deleted and you will get ban hammer. The best thing is you should post useful posts no matter if you post 10 or 20 posts, but that should be unique...
